This a proposal to rework the procedure of Laser Cutting at the USC School of Architecture. Laser Cutting is quite an essential service for the USC Architecture students. However, the process of laser cutting can be quite hectic and is a nightmare for the current protocol for social distancing. Our goals for our proposal would be to allow for the Laser Cutting Facilities to maintain their services, by limiting contact between students (the customers) and the student workers so that this process adheres to the USC rules for social distancing. This reworking of the laser cutting procedure does not need to end with the pandemic, and aspects of it may be applied to this procedure in more normal times as well.
