Academic Level: Graduate
In seeking an atmosphere of peace and protection in our return to campus, we shift our learning environment outside into the open areas around the School of Architecture. Koza is a single-student studio in which adjustable layers allow the student to decide their level of protection. A slatted wood outer shell provides shade and privacy, a layer of plexiglass allows for visibility and a layer of net provides both visual and audible connection to students and professors. The individual Koza lifts up to join others as a family of units hovering above the ground plane.
